EnOcean SFSP receptor (010010033) — Overview
This firmware turns battery-free EnOcean radio switches into MUXEN switches.
The gateway has an EnOcean radio receiver built in. It listens all the time, and for every transmitter you have paired with it, it publishes a MUXEN switch device on the boat's bus. From the boat's point of view there is a switch on the bus that goes on when a finger presses the wall and off when it is released — and it can be assigned to anything: a light, a pump, a scene, a page on a screen.
The switches need no wire and no battery. They generate the energy for their radio telegram from the press itself, so they can be glued to a bulkhead, a headliner or a piece of joinery with nothing running to them. What the gateway adds is the bridge from that radio to the MUXEN bus.
Alongside the switches, the gateway publishes itself: how many transmitters it has loaded, and the identifier of any transmitter it hears but does not recognise. That second one is the whole of the pairing procedure — press a button, read the number, write it into a slot.
What it is not
- It does not command anything. Nothing is driven from this box, and nothing sent to it on the MUXEN bus is acted on. It listens to the radio and publishes; what a press does is decided elsewhere on the boat.
- It does not learn switches by itself. Pairing is deliberate and is written into a numbered slot by hand. See Commissioning.
- It is not a general EnOcean receiver. Only switch telegrams are decoded. EnOcean sensors — temperature, humidity, window contacts — are heard and discarded.
- It publishes no inputs or outputs of its own. Unlike some MUXEN gateways it exposes no relays and no analog inputs on the bus — only the radio side.
